Privacy Policy

What personal information this website collects, why, and the choices you have.

This policy covers the website of Next Step Physio & Rehab Clinic (9886 Torbram Rd, Unit 109, Brampton, ON L6S 3L9). It describes information you give us through this site. It does not replace the privacy practices that apply to your clinical records once you become a patient; ask us about those at your first visit.

Information we collect

  • Appointment requests: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, preferred date and time, and any message you choose to write.
  • Contact messages: your name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message.
  • Reviews: your name, optional email address and location, the service, your rating and your review text.
  • Technical information: when you submit a form we record the IP address it came from, to limit spam and misuse.

Please do not put detailed medical history or other sensitive health information in website forms. Share that with your clinician in person or by phone, where it can be handled as part of your clinical record.

How we use it

  • To reply to your request, confirm an appointment and contact you about it by phone or email.
  • To publish a review you submit, after we have reviewed it. We show your name and location as you gave them.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics and third-party services

This website uses the following services, which may collect information about how you use it, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location:

  • Google Tag Manager, which loads measurement and advertising tools for the site (see Online advertising below).
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics, for aggregate site traffic.
  • Google Maps, on our contact page. The map loads only after you click to show it.

These providers have their own privacy policies and may process information outside Canada. You can limit tracking through your browser settings or a content blocker. If you follow links to our social media pages, those sites collect information under their own policies.

Online advertising

We may advertise our services on third-party platforms such as Google (including Google Search and YouTube), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. To measure whether our ads work, the website may use tags, pixels or similar tools loaded through Google Tag Manager. These tools can record that you visited a page or clicked an ad, your device and browser type, approximate location, and a cookie or device identifier. The platforms may use this to show our ads to people who have visited the site (sometimes called remarketing) and to report how many people contacted us after seeing an ad.

The information collected by these tools is handled by the advertising platform under its own privacy policy and may be processed outside Canada. We do not intentionally send the contents of your forms, or any health information, to advertising platforms, and we do not sell your personal information.

You can control ad personalization and tracking:

  • Google: adjust or turn off ad personalization in your Google account's ad settings (myadcenter.google.com).
  • Meta: use ad preferences and the "Off-Meta activity" settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • TikTok: use the ad personalization and data-sharing controls in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy.
  • Industry opt-out: the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada offers a choices tool at youradchoices.ca.
  • Browser and device: block third-party cookies, use a content blocker, or reset or limit your device's advertising identifier.

Because we use ads to reach people looking for care, an ad you see does not mean we know anything about your health, and clicking an ad does not create a patient record.

Cookies

The website does not use cookies to track visitors itself. A sign-in cookie is set only for clinic staff using the administration area. Third-party tools listed above may set their own cookies.

Sharing and storage

Form submissions are stored in a database used to run this website and are accessible to authorised clinic staff. We share personal information only with service providers that host or operate the website for us, and where the law requires it. We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our record-keeping obligations.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements. You may also withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time. Contact us using the details below.

Children

This website is intended for adults. If you are submitting a form for a child or another person, please make sure you are entitled to do so.

Emailing us

Standard email is not a fully secure way to send information. Avoid sending sensitive health details by email.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the bottom of the page shows when it was last updated.
